Mihalich signs extension at Hofstra

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (AP) Joe Mihalich, who has overseen a two-year turnaround of the basketball program at Hofstra, has signed a contract extension.

Director of Athletics Jeffrey Hathaway announced the extension Monday. No other details were given.

Mihalich inherited a program that won seven games the previous season and the Pride won 10 games the first season and were 20-14 last season, losing to William Mary in the Colonial Athletic Association tournament semifinals. They lost Black Gray White Nike Air Max 90 HYP PRM Discount to Vermont in the first round of the College Basketball Invitational.

The men's basketball program achieved a perfect score of 1000 for the 2013-14 year, Mihalich's first, in the latest Academic Progress Nike Air Max 90 HYP PRM Rojo Negro Blanco Rate released last week.

Mihalich enters his 18th season as a head coach with 295 wins. He coached at Niagara from 1998-2013.
