Blazer agreement set to be unseale

An American judge has ruled that the plea agreement between the US government and former FIFA executive turned whistleblower Chuck Blazer must be unsealed.

Several media outlets including the New York Times called for the action to occur last week following the indictment of 14 officials in an investigation into corruption at football's world governing body by US authorities.

The step was opposed by the authorities but NIKE LeBron 12 Low WOLF GRAY RED WHITE Hot Lava a court has now cleared the way.

In a court transcript being widely reported, US District Judge Raymond J Dearie said: "Because the court concludes that the government has not met its high burden of establishing that continued sealing is necessary to prevent a substantial probability of prejudice to a compelling government interest, the Nike Blazer Mid PRM Suede Blu Bianco applications to unseal the agreement are granted."

The order was stayed until Monday, allowing time for an appeal or for prosecutors to unseal the agreement.

Blazer, 70, a Nike Air Max 90 HYP PRM Noir Gray Blanc former general secretary of North American and Caribbean confederation CONCACAF, has admitted - among a series of revelations - that he and other FIFA officials took bribes in connection with the 1998 and 2010 World Cups.

For all the excitement about Australia's emphatic three-day Test win over the West Indies in Dominica, the performance of the top order has come into question.

Australia came away with a nine-wicket victory in Dominica, but not before slumping to Hot Lava WOLF GRAY RED WHITE NIKE LeBron 12 Low 6-126 in their first innings.

Worryingly, it's the 20th time in 46 innings that Australia have lost five or more wickets for less than 150 runs.

Coach Darren Lehmann admits it's a statistic that leaves him worried.

"That was a disappointing output ... we need our top six making runs," Lehmann said.

"We know that, to perform how we want to perform in each Test match.

"The tail got us out of jail here and they've done that a bit in the past. The batters will be working hard to get it right."

Australia's saving grace has been their tail-enders as it was in Dominica.

Adam Voges, who scored an unbeaten 130 on debut, combined with the last four batsmen to lift Australia's first innings to 318.

In the past year, Australia have added 100 or more runs after being seven down four times.

Fast bowlers Mitchell Starc, Mitchell Johnson and Josh Hazlewood as well as Nathan Lyon have all proven their worth with the bat as well as the ball.

With several members of the batting lineup having their first red-ball bat in the first Test for months, Lehmann is hopeful Australia will be better for Nike Blazer Mid PRM Suede Charcoal Nero the experience in the second Test in Jamaica starting on Thursday.

"We were a little bit rusty the first hour with the ball on the first day because blokes hadn't played in a Asics Gel Noosa Tri 9 Royal/Blanco /Rojo bit," Lehmann said.

"The same with the bat in the first innings.

"Hopefully all the cricket we've played, with the tour game and the training, hopefully in Jamaica we'll start to settle into that five-day Test mode.

"It's not a concern. It's just about the batters adapting better."

Sir Bradley Wiggins is suited to UCI Hour Record, says Sir Dave Brailsford

Sir Dave Brailsford believes Sir Bradley Wiggins' "absolutely brilliant" pace-management will be the key to his UCI Hour Record attempt on Sunday.

Wiggins will bid to break fellow Briton Alex Dowsetts record of 52.937km and has set a target of 55.250km, which equates to 221 laps of the Lee Valley VeloPark track.

As well as bettering Mid PRM Suede Blu Bianco Nike Blazer running scarpe Dowsett's mark by more than 2km, such a distance would potentially put the record out of the reach of any rider in the current generation and also make for a painful and exhausting ride.

You want to start not too hard but you want to end with not a drop left in the tank, so you dont finish chaussures de course à pied Asics Gel Noosa Tri 9 Bleu /Pourpre /Vert with anything.

That is all down to having the right pacing strategy. One of the big things in Bradley's favour is he is absolutely brilliant at Asics Gel Noosa Tri 9 Flash Giallo /Turquooise/Berry pacing, so that could stand him in good stead.

Allen Iverson was supposedly drunk during ‘practice’ rant

By Steve DelVecchio

Allen Iverson’s “practice” rant is easily one of the most infamous exchanges a professional athlete has ever had with the media. And more than 10 years later, we’re getting a better idea of why Iverson may have been so testy.

Was he boozing before he took the podium?

Kent Babb of the Washington Post published an Iverson biography this week entitled “Not a Game: The Incredible Rise and Fall of Allen Iverson.” In it, Babb writes that former Philadelphia 76ers coach Larry Brown suspected Iverson had been drinking before he blew up on the media.

“I assumed he went and fooled around somewhere,” Brown said, tipping his hand up like a bottle, Babb wrote in the book.

Former Sixers general manager Billy King was the one who suggested Iverson speak to the media four days after the Boston Celtics had eliminated Philly from the 2002 playoffs. Iverson had just shown Nike Air Max 90 HYP PRM Black Red White up late to a meeting with Brown and had an argument with the coach over AI’s future with the team. He then left the team facility — presumably to go to a bar — and returned to talk with the press.

John Smallwood, a Daily News reporter who was at the press conference, was convinced Iverson was drunk.

“He was lit. If he had been sober, he would have been able to get himself out of that,” Smallwood was quoted in Babb’s book as saying, per ESPN.com. “He never would’ve gone down that path. Maybe you had to have been around him all the time to know the difference, but we all knew.”

Iverson said two years ago that he was dealing Mid PRM Suede Bleu Blanc Nike Blazer Livraison express with the death of his best WOLF GRAY RED WHITE Hot Lava NIKE LeBron 12 Low friend at the time and should have never agreed to the news conference.

“They had no idea my best friend had just got killed,” he said. “The press conference wasn’t about practice, it was about me (possibly) being traded from Philadelphia. Nobody ever talked about that, never heard why I was upset or what the conference was about.”

Iverson’s infamous rant has beenspoofed more times than we can count. Apparently it may have never happened if he didn’t stop off at a bar room beforehand.

Serie A star transfer auction to be the biggest in history confirms agent_665

With the potential transfer of Paul Pogba a few things remain constant; Juventus bosses reticence to entertain bids for their talismanic young central midfielder; the players undoubted talent; the lengths that certain parties are prepared to go to sell/buy the player.

All of these constants are in play with what promises to be a transfer saga that could define the fortunes of several interested parties. Juventus want to resist selling their player but may find it difficult to resist the pressure of a huge transfer fee which Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has warned, or advised is what is required for a deal to happen.

Pogba of course left United for just a small compensation figure after declaring that he wasn't given enough opportunity at Old Trafford but has since developed into one of Europe’s Best Cheap Pinnacle AIR JORDAN 1 RETRO High BLUE GOLD most exciting players having shaken off the ‘prospect’ status and delivered on the potential clearly shown at Manchester United.

“Offers are already coming in, but Juventus don’t want to sell, they must make it an auction. His transfer would be one of the most expensive in history.” offerte scarpe running Nike Air Max 90 HYP PRM Blu Bianco Nero Said Raiola.

The prospect of a bidding war is very real but just how far Mid PRM Suede Charcoal Black Nike Blazer are clubs prepared to go? Chelsea, Manchester United, Real Madrid and PSG all seem interested in the player but what the upper limit of a bid would look like is anyone’s guess but how Pogba fit into Louis van Gaal’s plans seems clearer.

Certainly in the later stages of the season it seems that van Gaal has preferred playing three central midfielders with Herrera and Fellaini in a slightly more advanced position to Carrick and it could be that Pogba would play alongside either Fellaini of Herrera in a more advanced role.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. accepts blame for costly penalty- 'I screwed up'

Two days after finishing a disappointing 14th in Sunday's FedEx 400 benefiting Autism Speaks at Dover International Speedway, Dale Earnhardt Jr. took the blame for not getting the result he felt his team deserved.

Speaking during Tuesday's edition of the Dale Jr. Download on Dirty Mo Radio, NASCAR's most popular driverexpressed his regret for a pit-road speeding penalty that cost him 20 positions and two laps.

After starting in the back because of a rear-gear change, and falling a lap down early, the driver of the No. 88 Chevy had rallied all the way to sixth when he headed to pit road for a Lap 247 green-flag pit stop that ultimately proved costly.

I hate I fouled up there and screwed up coming onto pit road and disappointed the guys, Earnhardt said on the Download. We just worked so hard to get all that ground back, and get back on the lead lap, and I sort of screwed it all up. Five players to watch at the Women's World Cup

Lisa De Vanna, Australia

Australia's hopes of progressing to the latter stages of this tournament will likely be decided by the potency of their attack. A notoriously aggressive side by world standards and one that has ruled out playing as a deep, defensive united, Australia will be looking to their focal point in the forward line for goals against powerhouses of women's football. That is where De Vanna could blossom into one of the players of the tournament. Already she has proven herself at club and international level to such a standard that she is one of the most lethal strikers in the world. Arguably the fiercest competitor in the cup, she matches her tenacity with pace, creativity and an instinctive eye for goal. She's been entrusted as a leader of the squad having been named as co-captain of the Matildas and the added responsibility will likely add another dimension to her game. She will not just torment opponents but bring teammates into attack and with one of the quicker teams in the tournament, this will make her one to watch.

Marta, Brazil

There are few things more coveted in world football than wearing the No.10 jersey for Brazil, and that honour remains as such in women'sfootball. Now considered a veteran of the Selecao at 29, Marta will still be one of the players to light up this tournamentand will be one of the most recognisable Bleu /Pourpre /Vert Asics Gel Noosa Tri 9 names to viewers. She is a five-time FIFA World Player of the Year and has been nominated for the award for the past 11 years, making it hard to deny that she is the greatest ever to have played the game. Her style of play is an advertisement for the eye-catching style of football for which Brazil is synonymous - Joga Bonito. In past tournaments, her pace left opponents in her wake and while she may not be as quick as she was in her early 20s, her awareness and technique has improved well beyond that of yesteryear. She's an artist in attack and the ability to make the impossible seem easy.

Louisa Necib, France

So highly rated is the star of the rising powerhouse of women's football that is France that Louisa Necib is affectionately known back home as the female Zidane. While such monikers are often made in good spirits, this one has good reasoning behind it. Not only is she a product of Marseille and born to Algerian parents, but there is an undeniable similarity in the incredible passing range, ball control and dribbling to Zizou. In fact, it goes one further, she's dubbed Ziza but this tournament she might go one further and shake off that tag from fans and cement her own name with sports fans around the world.Primarily an attacking midfielder, Necib may be deployed on the wing in a 4-3-3 formation in the World Cup, which will free her of defensive burdens and allow her entertaining attacking flair to flourish.

Abby Wambach, US

At 35, Abby Wambach will lead the Fast Shipping To Buy Nike Blazer Mid PRM Suede Brown burgundy attack of the most popular team at the tournament in what will surely be her swansong. Her inclusion, however, is far from sentimental. She remains an incredible goalscorer, the world's best in terms of international games across both genders. She's scored an incredible 182 goals in 242 appearances for the USWNT and was listed by Time as one of the 100most influential people on the planet and one of the main reasons tens of thousands of American are travelling north for this tournament. There is no striker better in the air than Wambach or a more natural goalscorer and if the US go far, she'll take them there.

Dzsenefir Marozsan, Germany

Their forwards Celia Sasic and Pauline Bremer might steal the attention of the World Cup favourites but if Germany are to go all the way then that will largely rest on the performanceof Dzsenifer Marozsan. In the Nike Air Max 90 HYP PRM Gray Purple Pink absence of reigning World Player of the Year Nadine Kessling due to injury, Marozsan will be heartbeat of this German side. She is a good mover of the ball, hard worker in the midfield and reliable goalscorer with a ratio most forwards would envy, let alone midfielders. She was the youngest player to debut in the women's Bundesliga and score in Germany's top tier but the 2015 tournament will be where she raises her profile from one of the most promising players into a genuine star. Now 23, there is little doubt she will do that in Canada .

Making the Case For Colorado Rockies’ Nolan Arenado As 2015 MLB All-Star

Getty Images

Once upon a time, third base was a position devoid of talent in the major leagues. Over the past several years, the position only had a couple truly elite players. However, that is changing nowadays, especially in the National League, where several promising young third baseman are starting to emerge. One of those emerging players is?Nolan Arenado?of the?Colorado Rockies.

Arenado ranks fourth in National League All-Star voting at third base, but the numbers would tell you he should at least be in second place and that he merits a selection in this year’s All-Star game one way or another.

Here are comparisons of Arenado with other top NL third base vote getters in key categories:

Arenado: .274, 15 home runs, 47 RBI, 34 Ks

Matt Carpenter: .297, 8 home runs, 31 RBI, 49 Ks

Kris Bryant: .277, 7 home runs, 35 RBI, 65 Ks

Todd Frazier: .288, 17 home runs, 37 RBI, 44 Ks

All of the numbers are relatively close, but there are a few differences that make Arenado All-Star worthy, perhaps more so than some of the other third basemen on this list.

What separates Arenado?

The things Arenado has going for him are the fact that he’s proven to be an elite run producer, driving in 47 runs, which is Nike Air Force 1 High Nai Ke RED/WHITE 10 more than the next closest player on this list. He also strikes out significantly less than the other players on this list.

Most importantly, though, Arenado is an elite defender. Usually, defenders don’t get a lot of love for their fielding exploits, but Arenado deserves praise for his glove work. Along with?Alex Gordon, he may be the best pure defender in baseball.

What’s keeping Arenado from Midsummer Classic?

While Arenado has shown he’s a great run producer, he doesn’t get on base nearly as much as some of these other guys. His on-base percentage is just .308, which isn’t a normal mark of an All-Star. On top of that, his average is lower than the other Fast Shipping To Buy Yellow Green Red Nike Air Max 90 HYP PRM players on this list, but they’re comparable enough that it shouldn’t be a huge problem for him.

Perhaps the most important factor keeping Arenado from the All-Star game is the fact he plays in Colorado. The baseball viewership isn’t nearly what it is in St. Louis, Chicago or Cincinnati, the three cities where the other top third basemen are from. Without popularity, a player can’t Blu Gray Jade Nike Air Max 90 HYP PRM make it to the All-Star game with the same ease that other players can.

In short, without popularity, Arenado needs to be head and shoulders above the rest of the competition to make it in on a fan vote. He seems to at least be among the best candidates available at the position, but not enough so to earn himself a roster spot via fan vote.

Now, he may have to wait and see if players or the coaching staff get him on the roster in recognition of his efforts so far this season.

NFL rookies invade Los Angeles for Premiere event

The NFL has arrived in Los Angeles -- kind of.

A collection of over 40 NFL rookies arrived this week to attend the NFLPA Rookie Premiere at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston, New York Jets defensive lineman Leonard Williams, Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota, Chicago Bears receiver Kevin White, San Diego Chargers running back Melvin Gordon, St. Louis Rams running back Todd Gurley and Carolina Panthers receiver Devin Funchess are just a handful of the names in attendance.

The event was created in 1994 to help first-year players learn the business aspects of sports as well as the importance of their own personal brands.

This week marks the first time the players will wear their official team jersey for photo shoots with trading card companies. This is also when the players receive their Madden video game rankings, which are hand delivered by the Madden folks.

When the event ends, the season of preparation, which seemingly has become a year-round thing, will begin for most of these rookies. Team OTAs get going in the next few weeks, meaning the fun and games of the offseason soon will be over.

Enjoy the fun stuff while you can, rooks.

The First Nike KD 8 Releases On June 27th

The Nike KD 8 USA is slated to release June 27th. Tampa Bay Lightning Should Not Worry About Goalie Situation Going Into Game 3

While theories have run abound as to why Ben Bishop twice had to leave Game 2 of the Stanley WOLF GRAY RED WHITE Hot Lava NIKE LeBron 12 Low Cup Final as the Tampa Bay Lightning evened up their series with the Chicago Blackhawks and his availability for Game 3, the reality is simple: it really doesn’t matter. While Bishop is a world class goalie, his understudy — 20 year-old phenom Andrei Vasilevsky has an almost unparalleled résumé and could very well be the one that closes the proverbial door and carries Tampa to the franchise’s first Rosa Rojo Blanco Nike Air Max 90 HYP PRM Stanley Cup in 11 years.

In getting the win in relief, Vasilevsky showed nerves of steel against a Hawks team that is looking to cement its dynasty status and played wise beyond his years. While Game 2 may have been Vasilevsky’s biggest stage, it wasn’t his first rodeo — he has 19 NHL games under his belt and was more than impressive with the AHL’s Syracuse Crunch over the course Asics Gel Noosa Tri 9 Black/Neon Coral/Green Outlet Sale of this year — his first in North America. If the Bolts need to start the uber-talented rookie in Game 3 at the Madhouse on Madison, there’s no reason for there to be any panic in that dressing room.

This isn’t to take anything away from Bishop, who has been one of the most impressive goalies in the NHL over the last two seasons and is one of the biggest reasons why Tampa Bay has gotten to this point. Quite the contrary, in fact, as if I were Jon Cooper I’d have Bishop in the crease provided he gets the medical clearance. Having said that I doubt Cooper would lose one ounce of sleep if he’s forced to play the talented puck-stopper from Ufa in what will surely be a pivotal Game 3.

With the way Tampa Bay has played this series, coupled with Vasilevsky’s amazing talent, it really doesn’t matter who goes in Game 3. The Lightning have been the better team in the series and should be able to easily steal at least a game in Chicago to “regain” home ice.

Golden State Warriors vs. Cleveland Cavaliers- Game 4 Preview, Prediction

Golden State Warriors vs. Cleveland Cavaliers – NBA Finals Game 4 (Cavaliers lead series 2-1)

Game Time, TV: Thursday, June 11th – 9:00 PM ET on ABC

PG: Stephen Curry, SG: Klay Thompson, SF: Harrison Barnes, PF: Draymond Green, C: Andrew Bogut

PG: Matthew Dellavedova, SG: Iman Shumpert, SF: LeBron James, PF: Tristan Thompson, C: Timofey Mozgov

The Cleveland Cavaliers will look to place a stranglehold on their first NBA?Finals in eight Nike Air Max 90 Deep Roxo Preto years when they play host again to the suddenly struggling Golden State Warriors on Thursday night.

The Cavaliers, minus both Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving, have shocked the world so far by taking a 2-1 edge in the NBA Finals against a Warriors team that has 67 wins during the regular season. The Cavaliers have excelled at slowing the tempo of the game down to their liking, limiting the Warriors’ transition baskets and forcing them to try to execute in a half-court offense. LeBron James has been outstanding all-around, and is single-handedly attempting to carry this beat-up, largely no-name team to their first chaussures de course à pied Nai Ke Nike Air Force 1 High RED/WHITE Livraison express title in team history.

However, the Warriors are not done by a long shot. Reigning NBA MVP Stephen Curry has struggled mightily during the last two games before finally finding his shot near the end of Game 3. A lot of credit has to go to the Cavaliers’ Matthew Dellavedova for playing outstanding defense on Curry and not allowing him to get off anything thing easily. The Warriors are still running fantastic plays and moving the ball pretty well, but they simply are not hitting down shots they hit during the regular season.

The key matchup for this game will be Tristan Thompson vs. Draymond Green. Thompson has just abused Green on both the offensive and defensive glass, while on the other side of the floor Green has failed to really get the defense to honor his outside shot because he can’t hit anything right now. If the Warriors want to win tomorrow’s game, Green will have to knock down his outside looks and force Thompson away from the basket where he gets plenty of second-chance opportunities for his team.

Ultimately, I got the Warriors in this one. I just can’t see them dropping three straight games in acheter chaussures de basket Hot Lava WOLF GRAY RED WHITE NIKE LeBron 12 Low a row given the season they have had. I think that their shots will finally begin falling, and that their swagger and collective confidence will skyrocket as a result. This has been an epic series so far, so what’s wrong with it going back to the Bay Area all knotted up at two games apiece?

Prediction: Warriors 107, Cavaliers 101

Absences dominate Windies Tes

West Indies and Australia face off in Dominica on Wednesday with the build-up dominated by the contrasting absences of star batsmen from either team.

Chris Rogers will miss the start of his final Australian winter of Test cricket after displaying symptoms of concussion following a blow in the nets - "a really smart decision", according to captain Michael Clarke.

Rogers may grudgingly accept the wisdom of that - but Shivnarine Chanderpaul was less inclined to go quietly after being dropped to almost certainly signal the end of his West Indies career.

If that is the case, he will depart after making 11,867 runs at 51.37 in 154 Tests - just 45 runs behind Brian Lara's West Indies record tally of 11,912.

That includes an average of over 80 in home Tests against Australia, and he lobbied coach Phil Simmons for one final chance after Simmons offered him the option to retire before he was dropped.

The Kaieteur News published an exchange between the pair on messaging service WhatsApp in which Chanderpaul made himself available for selection and expressed the opinion that he was being "pushed into retirement".

"It may also be an occasion for the WICB to recognise me for my long and dedicated service," the 40-year-old left-hander wrote. "It would be a good send-off after dedicating 21 years of my life to WI cricket."

In the course of Simmons' replies, the former Ireland chief wrote: "I understand how you feel but it is in the hands of the selectors not yourself to decide on a squad for the series.

"I am not pushing you into retirement I am, as previously said, trying to dignify the situation because Chanderpaul retiring would be more dignified than Chanderpaul being left out by the selectors."

Chanderpaul emphatically concluded the exchange: "I AM NOT RETIRING. Thanks."

Lara himself suggested Chanderpaul deserved the chance to exit the international stage "in his own way" and went as far as to label his treatment "despicable".

Paceman Jason Holder admitted on ESPNCricinfo: "The exclusion of Shiv chaussure course Bleu Gray Jade Nike Air Max 90 HYP PRM has caused a lot of talk.

"That's beyond me at this present time, my focus right now is on cricket."

Simmons, too, was focused on the series, which follows a drawn three-match tussle with England.

"We played well in the three Test matches," he said. "We need to improve because it's Australia - no disrespect to England - and we're trying to do that as much as possible."

As far as Rogers' condition is concerned, attitudes have shifted noticeably since the tragic death of former Australia opener Phillip Hughes last year - Rogers noting earlier this year that until then "mortality hadn't really been an issue in the game".

Australia team doctor Peter Brukner described it as "a black-and-white rule now" that players suffering concussion do not play.

That stance was supported by Clarke, who told Cricket Australia's official website: "There's been a lot spoken about with concussion and as hard as it is on Chris, I think credit needs to go to Peter Brukner.

"He's an expert in this field and he believes Chris has those symptoms and it wouldn't be smart for him to take the field.

"I always want to win, I always love seeing Australian cricket have success. Nike Blazer Mid PRM Suede Bleu Blanc Chris is exactly like me. He wants to play, as I want him to play.

"But at the end of the day azul Blanco Negro Nike Air Max 90 HYP PRM I'd rather see the health and safety of the individual come first and foremost, and in this case that's exactly what we're doing and I think it's a really smart decision."

Shaun Marsh will open in Rogers' place, with Steve Smith batting at number three and, depending on the balance of the side, a likely debut for either batsman Adam Voges, 35, or spinner Fawad Ahmed, 33.

Unheralded pair Shane Dowrich and Rajindra Chandreka will battle for a Windies debut in Chanderpaul's stead.

The Frank Worrell Trophy will be on the line in the series, with the hosts looking to end a sequence which has seen them not win a series against Australia since 1992 nor a single Test against them since May 2003.

Should the Pats be worried about Jimmy Garoppolo-

By Ian Casselberry

With Tom Brady currently set to serve a four-game suspension this upcoming season, pending an appeal, the scrutiny on New England Patriots backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is about to become much harsher.Actually, we may already be there.

Last week, during an 11-on-11 drill at the end of an OTA practice, Garoppolo threw five interceptions in his final 31 attempts. Though we’re talking about practice, those kinds of numbers understandably raise an eyebrow, considering that Garoppolo could start the Patriots’ first four games of the season. And even if Brady gets his suspension reduced on appeal, he’ll still likely be out of the lineup for the initial one or two weeks on New England’s schedule.

If Garoppolo is throwing balls to the defense frequently in practice, what is going to happen when he faces the Steelers and Bills, the Pats’ first two opponents of the 2015 season? You could understand if Patriots fans are more than a little bit worried. But how do Bill Belichick and his staff see this? Is Garoppolo’s practice performance cause for concern?

What this might illuminate is that Garoppolo isn’t very good at running the two-minute drill. Those issues are even more glaring when compared to Brady, who excels in those situations. As the Boston Herald‘s Jeff Howe reported, Garoppolo really began to struggle while the Patriots were in hurry-up mode, completing 15-of-25 passes with four interceptions. On an adjacent field, Brady went 14-of-15 and that one incompletion was a drop. If Garoppolo wanted to shine alongside Brady, he was doing it wrong.

To be fair, three of his five picks weren’t the direct result of poor decisions. Two passes were deflections, though Howe notes that one of the balls was thrown behind receiver Aaron Dobson. And a third pass was batted at the line, then picked off by a linebacker. However, two interceptions were definitely on Garoppolo, one coming on an underthrown fade route in the end zone, while on the other, he threw too far ahead on a slant pattern.

The hope is that those mistakes would be ironed out with more repetitions in practice. If not, then Brady’s absence will really be felt. But that certainly gives Garoppolo, his receivers and the Patriots’ offensive coaching staff some issues to address between now and the opening of training camp on July 24.

“We did some good things,” Belichick told reporters after Friday’s practice. “There are a lot of things we need to work on.”

Obviously, Garoppolo’s numbers were tracked and reported by the media following last Friday’s (June 5) workout. So it stands to reason that coaches are keeping track of such information, if for no other reason than to present it to players as evidence of what needs to be worked on or what’s being done properly. ESPN’s Mike Reiss was curious how many teams tracked such statistics, and an official from another team told him exactly that.

“We keep stats on everything from completion percentage to poor decisions,” he said, “because you have to have something tangible to show the QBs.”

But more Nike Air Max 90 HYP PRM Gray Pourpre Rose than pure numbers, coaches are surely also judging by what they Rosso Nero Bianco Nike Air Max 90 HYP PRM see from the sideline and on film. Did Garoppolo make bad decisions? (Indecisiveness seemed to be a noticeable issue during 7-on-7 drills, according to eyewitnesses.) Was his timing off on any of those throws? Did receivers make any mistakes on their routes? Does the defense deserve credit for making a play on the interceptions resulting from deflected passes?

Prior to Garoppolo’s five-interception practice, Belichick told reporters that OTAs were more about teaching than evaluation. That would almost certainly apply to his backup quarterback. Five interceptions would seem to qualify as a Nike Blazer Mid PRM Suede Charcoal Preto tenis barato teachable moment (or five teachable moments, to break it down further).

The impulse is to hit the panic button, especially when potentially losing Brady for one-quarter of the season could be the difference in getting a first-round bye or home-field advantage during the playoffs. But Garoppolo is also going into his second year in the NFL, only throwing 27 passes in live game-action last season. Expecting him to be a refined, polished product this early on — and with so few reps playing behind Brady — is probably unrealistic.

What that OTA performance indicates is that both Garoppolo and Patriots coaches have a lot to work on. Fortunately, they have plenty of time during which to do so.

Booker reviews make for 'intriguing' draft prospect

PHOENIX -- Before we report on the crop of NBA draft prospects to come through US Airways Center on Monday, let's begin -- as so many NBA-related subjects do -- Mid PRM Suede Beige Noir Nike Blazer with some math.

Harking back 10 seasons, we discover that NBA teams let it fly from beyond the arc on 19.6 percent of their field goal attempts. This past season, that percentage was all the way up to 26.8.

Right, from this uprising we safely can infer that at least one popular, almost-league-wide analytics motto is as follows: When in doubt, shoot it from deep.

Anyway, despite protestations from a former player now employed by TNT, this commitment to the 3-pointer includes reliance on it from both teams preparing for battle in the NBA Finals.

Let's now get back to the Suns, who over the years had several coaches and front-office personnel dedicated to this concept. Unfortunately, a late-season shooting swoon pushed this season's club to 20th among NBA teams for 3-point accuracy. After the trade deadline removed a couple of the team's more successful chuckers, the Suns -- who finished the season at 34.1 percent -- converted less than 30 percent of their attempts in March.

Enter, at least for a workout on Monday, Kentucky freshman Devin Booker, who unofficially registers as one of the top marksmen available in the 2015 draft. The son of former All-Big Eight Missouri Tigers guard Melvin Booker, Devin made 41.1 percent of his 3s last season.

It should be noted that while a fully vested member of a loaded Kentucky team, Booker was required to sort of blend in. Based on the flood of Wildcats now soaking the NBA, this complete surrender to team-first protocol seems very wise. But while he was blending, many of those who make frequently premature declarations regarding draft prospects labeled Booker a so-so athlete with limited off-the-dribble skill.

He mitigated some of those doubts by recording the fastest lane-agility time at last month's NBA Draft Combine in Chicago. And he didn't exactly damage his reputation by reaching an impressive 27 court lengths in the 3-minute run that ends each Suns' pre-draft workout.

Devin looked good, Suns general manager Ryan McDonough said of the 6-foot-6 18-year-old. He shot the ball well.

For Booker, who Nike Blazer Mid PRM Suede Marrón Blanco comprar zapatillas running worked out with five other prospects here, this was the first in a series of pre-draft auditions for teams picking in his expected range.

More Suns
  • Jerian Grant's basketball IQ could be smart fit
  • Suns will draft to fill need ... for really good players

I keep it simple, Booker said when asked about the process of demonstrating his overall chops. I can do those things. I'm a great athlete, and I showed that a little bit.

Those Azul Branco Preto Nike Air Max 90 HYP PRM things include defending quick players, creating shots off the dribble -- for himself and teammates -- in one-on-one situations and operating as playmaker with the assistance of a ball screen.

That's why the Suns prefer taking up-close-and-personal looks at prospects in a controlled, less-than-cozy environment.

It's competitive, Booker said. That's why I want to do a lot of workouts. That's an opportunity I've always wanted, play against a lot of great college players. We're all trying to fight for that next level.

After careful scrutiny on the Suns' practice court, McDonough seemed impressed.

I think he's showed -- and will continue to show -- that he can do more than you might have seen watching Kentucky play, McDonough said. That's no knock to them ... obviously, they had a great year. There's a reason they were 38-1. But they have so much talent that it's difficult sometimes for guys to show all of what they can do, and he did a lot of good things out here today.

But with that eye-opening, lane-agility test (seriously, though, watching the kid actually play defense is far more important than his maneuvering over a predetermined course) and these competitive workout situations piling up, Booker's draft range could change.

It's already occurring on the draft-website circuit, where Booker has reached the top 10 in a couple of lists after hovering around a Suns' projection at No. 13 for a while.

If he adds the bonuses of explosion and playmaking skill, that shooting stroke becomes even more prominent. The requirement of playing defense at Kentucky already provided a boost that the combine numbers only exacerbated. And multiple teams picking ahead of the Suns aren't exactly loaded with players who do what Booker does.

Saad's goal in 3rd helps Blackhawks even series with Lightning at 2-2

Brandon Saad drove the net and had the puck poked away by Andrei Vasilevskiy. When he somehow found it again, Saad gave it a desperate backhand whack that just happened to send it right between Vasilevskiy's moving pads.

Saad refused much credit for his tiebreaking goal in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final. He knows that a few fortunate bounces have been the only differences in four games between the Chicago Blackhawks and the Tampa Bay Lightning, who seem determined to take this championship series down to a fantastic finish.

Saad scored with 13:38 to play, and captain Jonathan Toews got his first goal of the series as the Blackhawks beat the Lightning and their rookie goalie 2-1 Wednesday night, knotting the Final at two games apiece.

The 22-year-old Saad's latest clutch goal was the offensive highlight of a gritty, defense-dominated night at the United Center. Corey Crawford and the 20-year-old Vasilevskiy, the Lightning's surprise starter, both had stellar moments before Saad beat his fellow youngster for the winner.

I was really pretty lucky, Saad said. I just saw space going to the net. Tried to drive and create some chaos. Just try to get some wood on it and get to the net, and it found a way in.

Chaos reigned again in the final minute for Crawford, who capped his 24 saves with a frantic last stand. Lightning captain Steven Stamkos had Asics Gel Noosa Tri 9 Blue/Purple/Green Outlet Sale two golden chances to force overtime, but the Blackhawks survived.

Game 5 is Saturday night in Tampa.

The series is now a best-of-three, with Chicago needing at least one more win at Amalie Arena to secure its third Stanley Cup banner in six seasons. Tampa Bay has home-ice advantage, but a fraction of the Blackhawks' big-game credentials.

Alex Killorn scored in the second period for the Lightning, whose four-game road winning streak ended.

They got solid work and 17 saves from Vasilevskiy in place of Ben Bishop, the 53-game winner scratched with an undisclosed lower-body injury after hobbling through Game 3.

Vasilevskiy played well, but couldn't quite match Crawford, the 2013 Stanley Cup winner who regularly follows up poor stretches with big games for the Blackhawks.

I can play under pressure, Vasilevskiy said. For me, it's not something new. I was ready for pressure from fans and players.

Vasilevskiy became the fourth-youngest goalie to start a Stanley Cup Final game in NHL history and the youngest since 20-year-old Patrick Roy in 1986. Bishop got hurt during Game 2 and left it twice in the waning minutes, but he played in Game 3 and Rouge Noir Blanc Nike Air Max 90 HYP PRM Livraison Rapide participated in Wednesday's morning skate before the Lightning ruled him out.

If you tell me we're going to come in and he's going to give up two goals, that's a hell of a job in my book, Tampa Bay coach Jon Cooper said. That kid gave us every chance to win the hockey game. We only scored one.... He showed at the pinnacle of the sport that he can play. That's a pretty big achievement for a 20-year-old.

Chicago didn't manage a shot on Vasilevskiy's net until 8:17 into the first period, finishing with just two shots in a tentative first period.

After putting two shots off Vasilevskiy's posts early in the second, Chicago finally scored when Vasilevskiy gave up a rebound of Marian Hossa's shot and Toews eventually slapped a loose puck Preto Vermelho Branco Nike Air Max 90 HYP PRM under the goalie, who deflected it in for his 10th goal.

The Lightning answered five minutes later when Valtteri Filppula threaded a backward pass through two defenders and in front to Killorn for his ninth goal of the postseason.

Stamkos ended his five-game scoring drought with an assist on Killorn's goal. Chicago's Patrick Kane also got his first point of the series with an assist on Saad's goal. ... Vasilevskiy's backup was Kristers Gudlevskis, the 22-year-old Latvian Olympian who spent this season in the AHL. He has just three games of NHL experience, none this season. ... D Johnny Oduya played for Chicago after apparently injuring his left arm in Game 3, while fellow D Kimmo Timonen returned to Chicago's lineup after sitting out the first three Final games. ... New Chicago Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg attended the game in a red Blackhawks hoodie.

Jeff Gordon does his own special version of Indy-Charlotte doubl

CONCORD, N.C.― What Jeff Gordon did on Sunday was his own special version of the Indianapolis/Charlotte double.

Gordon was driving cars at both Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Charlotte Motor Speedway, but his role at the two tracks was vastly different.

With his family in attendance, Gordon led the field to the green flag in the Indianapolis 500 in the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 pace car before flying back to Charlotte to compete in what will be his final Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race.

When Gordon moved from California to Pittsboro, Ind., as a young child, the initial plan was for the racing prodigy to pursue an open-wheel career. That changed when Gordon shifted his focus to NASCAR racing, but the driver of the No. 24 has no regrets.

MORE: That Moment When: Jeff Gordon's first Sprint Cup win

“I feel like I've accomplished more than I ever expected or hoped to in racing,” Gordon said. “But the one thing that kind of did elude me and we pursued ― I say 'we', my dad, my mom, and myself -- when we were trying to go to the next level, was getting a chance to race here in the Indianapolis 500.

“I've said this many times ― I still believe it ― winning the inaugural Brickyard 400, to me, fulfilled that dream. Now I've had a chance to win it four more times. This is a special place for me. I love getting a chance to race here.

“Would I have liked to have scarpa Running at least run one Indy 500, know what it's like? Sure, Adizero F50 Online I would have. It won't be happening, but I would have liked to have known what that was like. But as far as being honored to a whole 'nother level, this today is it.”

Gordon’s Indy 500 experience was destined to be short-lived. Unlike drivers in the past who have completed the 500 before heading for Charlotte, Gordon had time to drive the pace car and return to Charlotte in time for the Coke 600 drivers’ meeting, thereby preserving his 18th-place starting position.?

“As far as getting back to Charlotte, we've seen guys compete in this race and still make it to Charlotte,” Gordon said before the start at Indianapolis. “Now, you give up your starting position, which I certainly didn't want to do.

“I'll probably watch a couple laps. Like I mentioned, I have my wife and kids here. I want to see them see how fast these cars go through the corner. I actually took my son to Pocono a couple years ago. He got to see some IndyCars at the hotel when we checked in. He's all excited about that.

“I want them to see at least a few laps. Unfortunately, we can't stay any longer. We'll head to the airport, take off, make it in plenty of time to make the drivers' meeting.”

True enough, Gordon had no issues arriving at the drivers’ meeting on time and preserved the starting position he earned during Thursday’s time trials.

    Short strokes

?“We’re kind of working on it now,” said Richard Childress, Dillon’s grandfather and team owner. “It sort of depends on the sponsorship and all, but we want to get him set up for the XFINITY Series next year, and if we can get him going in the Cup [Series], that’s kind of our plan.”

Pirates rally past Marlins 5-2 for 6th straight win

PITTSBURGH (AP) Mired in a funk a quarter of the way into a season with high expectations, Clint Hurdle challenged his team to get its act together.

A week later, it appears the Pittsburgh Pirates were listening.

Jung Ho Kang capped a late rally with a two-run single and the Pirates ran their winning streak to six games with a 5-2 victory over the Miami Marlins on Wednesday.

''For way too long we were a good team playing mediocre baseball, so you're not a good team really,'' Hurdle said. ''You've got to connect the dots. You've got to put parts of the game in play.''

At the moment, they're all firing for the Pirates, who won for the first time this season when trailing after six innings. Pittsburgh scored five times with two outs in the seventh off the Miami bullpen to extend its longest surge since it won nine straight in June, 2013.

''We've got our swag back out there,'' catcher Chris Stewart said. ''You can't foresee it, but we're as good as any team in Nike Air Max 90 Deep Pourpre Noir baseball, especially the way we're playing right now. We feel like we can keep it going.''

Josh Harrison and Pedro Alvarez added RBI singles while Starling Marte worked a rare bases-loaded walk. Gerrit Cole (7-2) struck out seven in seven efficient innings. Mark Melancon worked the ninth for his 12th save as Pittsburgh completed an eight-game homestand with a flourish.

''We start chipping away and put the pressure on them and that's what it's all about,'' Stewart said, ''putting the pressure on them, forcing them to make good pitches out there.''

The Pirates spent five innings getting handcuffed by Miami starter Brad Hand but jumped on relievers Mike Dunn and Sam Dyson (2-2).

Dunn retired the first two batters he faced in the seventh before Stewart singled. Pinch-hitter Jose Tabata then smacked a grounder to second base that deflected off Dee Gordon's glove and into shallow center field.

Dyson took over for Dunn and promptly gave up a single to Harrison that brought Pittsburgh to 2-1. Pinch-hitter Gray Pink Red Nike Air Max 90 HYP PRM Alvarez beat the shift by slashing a single through the left side of the infield to tie the game. Andrew McCutchen walked to load the bases to set up Marte.

Usually free-swinging Starling Marte - who leads the Pirates in strikeouts - then worked the count full against Dyson and held off on a breaking ball that dipped out of the strike zone to force home Harrison and give the Pirates the lead. Kang lined a single over Gordon's glove to push Pittsburgh's advantage to 5-2.

''It was hard to take,'' Marte said with a laugh. ''I've been swinging at that pitch pretty much (all year).''

Not this time. When Kang followed with a liner over Gordon's head the Pirates were two games over .500 and suddenly looking like the team that still expects to challenge St. Louis and improving Chicago in the NL Central.

''We're making it tough for the other team to get us out,'' McCutchen said. ''We scratch and claw and that's what makes us a good team.''

Justin Bour and Christian Yelich hit solo homers for the Marlins, who fell to 2-8 under manager Dan Jennings. Miami had been 12-0 when leading after six innings but were swept for the sixth time this season when Pittsburgh got going.

Hand, pressed into his first start of the season when injuries forced Henderson Alvarez and Mat Latos to the disabled list, kept the Pirates off balance. Pittsburgh managed just four hits with Hand on the mound and Miami appeared to be in decent shape when Bour and Yelich both sent Cole offerings into the seats in right field to stake the Marlins to a 2-0 lead. Dee Gordon added two hits to push his major league-leading average to .376 but Miami dropped to 1-11 in its last 12 games at PNC Park.

''I still believe in these guys,'' Jennings said. ''There's a heck of a lot of talent out there that's showing positive things. But you have to execute pitches in situations to get the outs and shut down innings like that when they're getting away from you. ''

    Thurston backs NSW's halves pairing

In a surprise shot in the arm for Mitchell Pearce, Queensland's milestone man Johnathan Thurston has backed the much maligned NSW half's switch to pivot for Wednesday night's State of Origin opener.

Cynics believe NSW may be at sixes and sevens with their chaussures course Gray Rose Rouge Nike Air Max 90 HYP PRM halves after Blues coach Laurie Daley pitchforked the unproven Pearce into the untried position of five-eighth alongside incumbent Trent Hodkinson.

But Thurston admitted he was living proof that the Sydney Roosters halfback could make the Blues No.6 jersey his own.

Groomed as a pivot at his first NRL club, the Bulldogs, Thurston has interchanged between the halves positions effortlessly for the Cowboys, Queensland and Australia, claiming three Dally M Medals and eight straight Origin series wins along the way.

"Yeah, I grew up playing a lot of five-eighth, playing in that position is not unfamiliar - I was recruited by the Cowboys as a six so I am comfortable with it," Thurston said.

And he surprisingly backed Pearce to do the same.

"They (Pearce, Hodkinson) are both quality halfbacks and have been playing some great footy over the last few weeks so I think it will work," he said.

"And there has been a bit of hoopla over Trent so he will be confident after guiding them Mid PRM Suede Beige Noir Nike Blazer to a series win (last year).

"Mitchell plays on the ball, so he'll probably direct the boys around the park.

"Trent at the Bulldogs plays out the back more, off his forwards."

He even gave the new-look NSW halves pairing some valuable advice.

"We'll do some video on them and come up with a game plan but communication between them in guiding the boys around is the key," he advised.

Pearce would be forgiven for soaking up all the information he can get from Thurston, who celebrates a record 31st straight Origin on Wednesday night.

Pearce has not played five-eighth since schoolboy football.

If that tidbit had not raised a chuckle in the Maroons camp, a "highlights" reel of Pearce's Origin gaffes uploaded on YouTube before the season opener surely would have.

To put Pearce's past Origin frustrations in perspective, the footage goes for six, solid minutes.

Oh, and he has never featured in a winning Origin series.

With LeBron making fifth straight Finals trip, D-Wade leads the cheerleading

Making his fifth straight visit to the Finals, LeBron James has a chance to win a title that would put him in a class by himself. Other players have won more championships, but none has ever done it for his ring-starved home region.

When he announced his return last summer, James talked about ending a championship dryspell that has linked generations. He has a chance to turn Cleveland, a city that has taken its fair share of knocks over the years, into a title town.

And that has not only stars from Cleveland cheering him on, but fans from all over —?? none bigger than his old Heat teammate Dwyane Wade.

    Stoke 6-1 Liverpool- Match Repor

    Potters hit Liverpool for six

Liverpool's season-ending meltdown was completed at the Britannia Stadium where Stoke won 6-1 to inflict the Reds' heaviest defeat for 52 years while notching their biggest home victory over the Merseysiders in over a century.

Brendan Rodgers insisted on Friday he was 150 per cent sure he would be manager next season despite his side missing all the targets Fenway Sports Group set him back in August.

But eight points from their final nine matches indicate a collapse of epic proportions, and performances like this one are just the sort which owners take notice of.

Rodgers' end-of-season review with FSG's high-ranking Anfield representative Mike Gordon should be an interesting one Asics Gel Noosa Tri 9 Bleu /Pourpre /Vert next week.

The shambles of a failing campaign was encapsulated in 45 minutes with Mame Biram Diouf scoring a brace, with Charlie Adam, Jon Walters and Steven Nzonzi also on target before the interval - the first time Liverpool had conceded five first-half goals in top-flight league since 1976 against Aston Villa.

Steven Gerrard pulled one back on his last appearance for the club but substitute Peter Crouch made it 6-1 WOLF GRAY RED WHITE NIKE LeBron 12 Low Hot Lava late on.

If Rodgers thought he had problems with Raheem Sterling, whom he left out the starting line-up for the first time in over three months after a week of headlines about his contract, this underlined the extent of the issues he has to address in the summer.

Stoke tore their visitors apart and the folly of playing Emre Can as a makeshift right-back over recent weeks was finally brutally exposed as Marko Arnautovic gave him such a torrid time he was replaced at the break along with left-back Alberto Moreno.

The reasons for recognised right-back Glen Johnson not even making the squad were known only to Rodgers but the England international will probably have been grateful.

Johnson is out of contract next month and destined for another club, tweeting earlier in the day: "A big thank you to all the people out there who have genuinely supported me through the last six years. #200 #NewChapter."

Also leaving in the summer is captain Gerrard. A hero of so many fantastic performances in a 17-year professional career with the club, this was a terrible way for him Pinnacle BLUE GOLD AIR JORDAN 1 RETRO High For Black Friday to sign off.

Stoke's 23-minute onslaught began when Arnautovic set up Adam for a long-range drive which Simon Mignolet could only parry into the path of Diouf.

The Potters striker doubled his tally with a swerving strike which Mignolet should have done much better with before Can's miserable afternoon - mercifully cut short - got worse when he inexplicably headed a cross back to his goalkeeper only for Walters to nip in and score at the second attempt.

Adam Lallana's penalty appeal after a Geoff Cameron challenge was Liverpool's only real threat and Stoke responded with Adam firing in a low left-footed drive and Nzonzi curling a 25-yarder into the top corner.

Stoke celebrated their end-of-season party with chants of 'Easy' and 'You're getting sacked in the morning' to Rodgers, who stood alone in his technical area.

If home fans, who taunted substitute Sterling with songs about being greedy after the 20-year-old turned down a B#100,000-a-week contract, could not believe what they were seeing, Liverpool's 2,805-strong travelling support was incredulous.

They, too, had let Sterling know their feelings with boos and numerous angry gestures as he walked past them on the way to the tunnel both before kick-off and half-time.

Gerrard at least gave them something to cheer in the 69th minute when the captain raced through to slot past Asmir Begovic, back in the team after being rested for Jack Butland recently, for his 186th goal in his 710th game.

But former Anfield striker Crouch headed in to inflict Liverpool's heaviest defeat since losing 7-2 to Spurs in 1963.

While Rodgers has huge changes to make, things are progressing nicely for Mark Hughes, who has now recorded back-to-back top-10 Premier League finishes for the first time in the club's history.

Hired to bring about a different brand of football after the Tony Pulis years, he has seamlessly made the necessary alterations without affecting the club's effectiveness.

The scoreline in no way flattered them as they exploited Liverpool's weaknesses to the full with wide men Arnautovic and Walters providing the penetration ahead of Nzonzi as the midfield powerhouse.
