After West Ham were comfortably dispatched of by Manchester City on the weekend, manager Sam Allardyce was frustrated with the errors made throughout the clash, and believes they have lost the goal threat they had earlier in the season, reports BBC Sport.
Manchester City’s first goal came following very good fortune early in the first-half. West Ham defender James Collins scored an own goal, accidentally steering a Jesus Navas cross into the back of his own net to put the home side in the lead. West Ham were guilty of being very wasteful in possession too, which led to City’s second goal as they lost the ball վhttp://www.airforce1prezzo.com/ӲƷɹ in the middle of the park in the build up.
West Ham could have been behind to a much bigger scoreline in the opening 45 minutes, and then missed good chances to get back in the game in the second-half. The Hammers have been in poor form in 2015, winning just two of their last 16 games in the Premier League, and their latest defeat is now their fifth seven matches.
Allardyce was left to rue mistakes made by his players, and is frustrated that they have also lost their killer touch from earlier in the season. He said: “The two goals we gifted them are pretty disappointing on the basis of how we conceded them. You can't make the mistakes we made and expect to get anything out of a game at Manchester City. We created our two best chances late on but can't seem to be as clinical as we used to THERMAL MAP Nike Air Foamposite One Vivid Pink/Metallic Silver-Black be. The goal threat from us has not been as potent as we showed earlier on in the season."
