The 25-year-old impressed forthe Lions against South Africa's A side overthe winter and has been named in England's 16-man party for next week's trip to the Caribbean.

Wood said: "I'm not going over there to make up thenumbers. I definitely want to try and play a Test match and make my debut, I'dlove for that to happen.

"So I'm going to give it my shot in the nets, and hopefully I can impress afew people there and get a go.

"Hopefully I bring something different to the table and they can see somethingin me like they have done so far and I can get a game.

"It's obviously been a frustrating couple of months for England recently andas a fan, I've been frustrated as well, so it'll be nice if we can get back towinning ways on the field and have that good camaraderie and atmosphere offit."

England kick off their tour with two warm-up matches against a St Kitts & Nevis Invitational XI and then begin the first of three Tests against the West Indies on April 13.
