Kevin Durant Posts Heartfelt Farewell to Scott Brooks on Instagram

On Wednesday, the Oklahoma City Thunder?pulled the plug on the Scott Brooks era, sending their head coach packing after seven?wildly successful seasons at the helm. Unfortunately an injury-filled season that resulted in the Thunder narrowly missing the playoffs was too much for OKC brass to overlook (apparently).

One player who took the news rather hard?was Kevin Durant, the Thunder’s star player who has spent his entire NBA career under the tutelage of Brooks. Rather than blowing up or expressing his frustration in a destructive manner, Durant took to Instragram to show Gray / white Supra Tk Society High Tops his support for Brooks while thanking him for everything he’s done to help him develop into an NBA superstar.

Those are the words of a true leader right there. The Thunder better bring in a superstar head coach, or they’ll be watching Durant head to D.C. in 2016.
